The Athletic, a sports media outlet, published an article on the 5th (Korea Standard Time) about the "disappointing feelings" of a couple fan who donated Ohtani's home run ball to the Dodgers.

The couple's fan said, "The guards demanded the donation of the home run ball in a threatening atmosphere."

Ohtani hit a 131 meter home run over the right-center wall in the seventh inning with two outs and no runners when his team was ahead 4-3 at home against the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on the 4th.

It was Ohtani's first home run this season in nine games after signing a 10-year contract worth 700 million dollars (about 943.8 billion won) in professional sports.

Local media in the U.S. made headlines for Ohtani's first home run since moving to the Dodgers.

Ambaro, the main character who caught the home run ball, was also revealed.

On the day of the game, U.S. and Japanese media reported that a female audience (only) who caught Ohtani's home run ball was willing to return the ball to Ohtani.

"It's a very special ball. Thank you for giving it back," Ohtani said. "But I gave her two balls, two caps and a bat with her signature."

Some media outlets said, "Otani met the fan in person and thanked him," which turned out to be a misrepresentation of "the club and the fan communicated directly" during the interpretation process.
